Slide Out for Jayco's New Optimum 26'

The Optimum motorhome series is as the very name suggests - your home on wheels and is now available with an added electric slide-out wall function in the sleeping quarters to provide added space for storage, and to move around, making your road trip, a much more comfortable experience.

The easy to drive, Ducato front wheel drive with 6-speed Comfort-Matic gearbox has been developed to combine power steering with anti-lock braking to make manoeuvring this motorhome a breeze in all traffic or road conditions.

“Comfort-Matic is the best yet of these automated transmissions, selecting exactly the right gear at exactly the right time and making the most of the 3-litre engine’s prodigious torque,” said UK Motorcaravan judge Michael Le Caplain at the 2009 awards held in April this year.

The 26 foot premium motorhome offers all the fine comforts an RV enthusiast could wish for. Tinted, double glazed windows with integrated pull down blinds, a skylight roof hatch illuminate the stylish curved timber panels and leather seats.

A complete kitchen with a four burner grill, oven and range hood, microwave and 3-way 150 litre fridge/freezer facilitates gourmet excellence.

External speakers, CD/DVD/MP3 player and 15 inch LCD television mean you can enjoy your favourite movies during your travels, tune into the cricket, or listen to your favourite tunes.

The unit is also designed with safety in mind. Dual reversing cameras allow drivers to keep an eye on the large vehicle from a number of angles and illuminated grab handles and an electric folding step, make it easy to enter the vehicle after the sun sets.

The vehicle sleeps up to 4 comfortably, comes with air conditioning.  A 240V/gas hot water system offers the luxury of a hot shower in the rear ensuite, designed complete with separate toilet, optional washing machine and even a heated towel rail when fitted with diesel heater.
